Hand-picked, certified organic grapes from the Noa vineyard's oldest vines. Whole-bunch pressed, wild yeast, fermented and aged on lees for 18 months in French oak barriques. 
 
Very complex nose is very unlike Sauvignon Blanc! Broad, rich nose with great intensity with the oak – just – submerged by the fruit. An ambitious wine that some will find too rich – certainly if they are expecting a typical Marlborough Sauvignon – but this could be a great challenge for food and wine matchers. It definitely deserves food. Quite chewy even now! But it tastes as though it might tip into oiliness eventually.14% Drink 2017-2019
